The Challenge

The Eugene Mission has stood as a beacon of hope and transformation for the unhoused since 1952. With a nontraditional — but highly effective — relationship-based approach to providing a permanent path off the streets, the Mission is best understood as a gateway to lasting well-being for guests and to a healthier community for all.

Starting in 2018, the Eugene Mission has challenged AHM to tell the organization’s core story of transformation while reshaping long-held public perceptions and improving strategic donor outreach.

The Solution

Beginning with an evolved messaging strategy to capture and communicate how the Mission is a hub of human transformation, AHM next formalized the brand’s visual identity to support the consistent, ongoing development of the organization’s monthly newsletter, e-blast and annual report. As a private non-profit receiving zero public funding, the Eugene Mission relies on its yearly fundraising outreach to support its critical work. Leadership and staff continue to depend on AHM to develop the creative media and strategic planning that lets people understand the Mission’s unique purpose and inspires community members to open their hearts to helping the unhoused change their lives for good.
